The Problem
BAK Engineering, a civil and structural engineering consultancy, was managing projects, task assignments, files, and candidate resumes across disconnected tools and spreadsheets — making it hard to see project status at a glance or find the right file or candidate quickly.
The Solution
Orbik Labs built a custom project management platform, including:
- Project and task management with team assignment, so work is tracked from creation to completion with clear ownership
- Centralized file management tied to each project, replacing scattered folders and email attachments
- A talent pool / resume pool module for managing candidate submissions and searching past applicants when new roles open up
The Result
- Cut time spent locating project files and past candidate resumes from ~15 minutes of manual searching to under a minute
- Gave leadership a single dashboard view across all active projects instead of piecing status together from spreadsheets
- Talent pool now holds 200+ searchable candidate profiles, reused across multiple hiring rounds instead of re-sourcing from scratch
